In retail, a busy day and high amount of foot traffic is wonderful for business. Busy retail locations also provide an opportunity for thieves to walk away with your products, often going unnoticed until you later realize that your merchandise is missing. Unfortunately, your employees may pose another overlooked threat. In many instances, internal loss is as much of an issue – if not more of an issue – than external loss.
- Provide identification cards to employees so they can be identified easily
- View high-traffic and visually-concealed areas and access points from one area
- Record and store high-quality video
- Keep certain exit and entry points locked at all times – only allow access to employees
